As a new company, Beautycounter is still developing products. A few of my favorites from other companies are listed below.
Little Seed Farm Booty Balm– My baby is blessed with a pretty resilient booty, but for the times it needs a little TLC, this formula works wonders. The Beautycounter Protective Balm is also great- I leave the Booty Balm at home and bring the Protective Balm on the road.
– According to the Environmental Working Group, the average adult uses 9 personal care products a day, with 126 unique chemical ingredients. One out of every 100 men use at least 15 products. Show the men in your life a little love with this set. Men deserve safer choices too!
An area that I didn’t think much about until I began to make the switch to safer in my skin care and cosmetics was the products I use to clean my home. Once I thought about it though, I knew I had to find a safer solution- I discovered NORWEX and I haven’t purchased any conventional, toxic cleaning products since. Not only have I removed toxic chemicals from my home, I’ve reduced my waste- I haven’t purchased a roll of paper towels since May of 2017.
Looking for other ways to reduce your waste? My friend Meredith has a great website- meredithtested.com and she has all sorts of amazing advice on how to live a Zero Waste life- I’m making steady progress and I encourage you to give it a try!
RMS Nail Polish– Nail polish is one area where we’ve all heard the stories about salon workers having health issues, but have we given any thought to what the exposure might mean to us? This article by the Anna Almendrala of the Huffington Post spells it out pretty well. If a pedicure is an occasional indulgence, your exposure to TPP is less, but for those of us who are regular consumers may want to take caution. This is a nice polish and I feel good using it. It also smells less, so there’s less complaining from my husband…
As a busy mom, I sometime struggle to eat well. In the rush to get everyone dressed, fed and out the door, I usually get halfway to where I’m going and realize I’ve forgotten myself. I added one quick step to the routine for 2017 that’s made all the difference- I throw a packet of WIN Daily Lift in my bag with my to go cup and enjoy all the benefits of 16 servings of fruits and vegetables and 59 super foods while on the go. It’s a great way to kick start my day and make sure I’m taking care of myself as well.
