Another year is upon us. Another opportunity to start fresh, dream big- all that jazz.

I’ve been thinking a lot about impact lately. If I were to get hit by a bus tomorrow, what would my legacy be? Have I done anything to leave a mark?

It’s daunting.

It’s something I feel better about as a mom- while my daughter is only two, and at this point would only remember me in pictures- but she’s the physical representation of my legacy. From a primal, biological perspective, I’ve left a mark.

What about beyond that? Do I spend my days doing things that matter?

Better Beauty Vermont- 80% of cosmetics ingredients have never been tested for safety

I think so. Mostly. My work with Beautycounter matters. Getting safer products in the hands of everyone is important. Our health is too important to treat casually. We work out, we eat well, then we slather our bodies in carcinogens and toxic chemicals. What doesn’t make sense here?

A Question of Leadership- How to Transition from Instructor to Successful SupervisorMy work in the Snow Sports Leadership Community matters.  The years of experience that lead to writing my first book- A Question of Leadership- How to Transition from Instructor to Successful Supervisor is helping others. We’re having interesting conversations, helping each other grow and sharing information that will ultimately help our industry grow into the future.

So I challenge you to go into this new season- take a few minutes to journal or meditate or reflect on this question: are you making an impact?

I’m here to help you along that journey. The movement for safer beauty needs more voices, the snow sports industry needs better leaders. Let’s get together and make it happen.
