So here’s the thing- I’ve spent a lot of time over the past year cleaning up my beauty routine, working to add more organic and whole foods to the family diet and working on ways to keep myself on my priority list. One area I was slacking was reducing waste in our kitchen, but I’ve found an amazing solution.

I try to only cook what my family will eat in a sitting, but that’s not always possible. For leftovers, I’ve discovered these amazing silicone lids from Norwex but for smaller things, like the other half of the onion you don’t need or the cucumber that was a snack but not finished, Bee’s Wrap is amazing stuff.

Made from organic cotton, sustainably sourced beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin, this reusable wrap replaces all the non recyclable plastic wrap in your kitchen. Saving the planet and money, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes for any budget or application. It also works for leftovers, but I find it more useful and fun for smaller items. I fully intend on getting more sizes and styles to completely replace my collection of Chinese takeout containers that currently serve as my back up leftover containers. Summer is coming too, so we’re going to have more half eaten produce out of our garden to store until the next meal. Simply wash off, let dry, fold back up and use again. In about a year, add it to your compost. Oh, and made right here in Vermont.

I love supporting other mompreneurs, especially when they provide a great product that solves a problem. I care about what I put in my body and on my body and I care about making plastic free sustainable choices that save me time and money. It’s good for the planet, its good for my community and it’s good for my family. I highly recommend Bee’s Wrap and would love to hear your solutions to plastic in the kitchen!

This post isn’t sponsored, I just love the product. I do work with Beautycounter to bring safer products into the hands of everyone, so if I can help you #switchtosafer personal care products, please let me know!
