As a new mom, I was horrified to learn about the lack of accountability in the personal care and cosmetic industry. Just because something is sold in store doesn't mean it's been tested for safety. In fact, there are ingredients commonly found in products in the US that are banned in the EU because they don't meet safety standards. Some are known carcinogens and endocrine system disruptors. I've partnered with Beautycounter to share what I've learned with others and further the mission of getting safer products in the hands of everyone. Join me on my journey as I #switchtosafer!

Stepping Out

Last week, we spent most of the day inside while Stella the Blizzard raged on outside. I say most of the day because my toddler wanted out, and she wanted out bad. Now, I knew that (just like the dogs),... Continue Reading →

Makeup Monday-Why Less is More

Perhaps my minimalist preferences for makeup are because I've never been overly confident in my application skills. Growing up a bit of a tomboy, I spent hours building things out of sticks and not working on the perfect blended eyeshadow... Continue Reading →

Spring Cleaning- It’s Time.

Even though it's only March, it's inevitably spring. It's a great time for renewal and fresh starts. One of the often overlooked places is our products themselves. I began making the #switchtosafer with Beautycounter last year. It's been an eye opening... Continue Reading →

My Baby is Growing up Too Fast

It is absolutely not possible that my little baby is almost two. But the calendar says that next week, she'll hit 20 months, then this summer, the big 2, then the summer after that 18. Well, not quite, but that's... Continue Reading →

Makeup Monday- Spring Looks

Have I shared recently how excited I am for spring? The winter was great- especially for those of us in the ski business, but there's something about spring that's so, cliche as it might be, refreshing. That said, I'm spending... Continue Reading →
